scripts.dll 3.4.4 is out, get it from http://www.sourceforge.net/projects/rentools/
This is a small bugfix release to fix a last minute bug that showed up in RA:APB plus
a couple other bugs that I didnt get a chance to fix in 3.4.3
changes:
Updated bhs.txt to reflect the correct values of HealthBarStyle and ShieldBarStyle
Corrected a memcpy statement in Vertex_Split_Table::Vertex_Split_Table that was copying the wrong amount of memory
Corrected an issue with newwcs in debug builds
Corrected an issue where the scope code would crash if the player had no weapon
Corrected a bug to do with QuadCount and related entries in hud.ini where it was using x and y the wrong way around
Corrected a bug to do with BackgroundTop and BackgroundLeft where it was using x and y the wrong way around
Corrected a bug where the health bar code wasnt displaying the health of the vehicle you were in
Corrected a bug to do with DisableCostMultiplier in hud.ini

i was one of the ppl who had the bhs.dll error. with 3.4.2

it worked and i was able to get onto renegade again , but now everytime the loading bar gets to the end renegade shuts down instead of going into the game.

what can i do ?

look in your renegade folder for files named crashdump1.txt, crashdump2.txt etc and post them. Or more specifically, post the most recent one.

Hi, i have been updating my scripts as these new versions came out. However, with each version, my game kept crashing at random moments and its now starting to do my head in!!

With the latest scripts, it usually happens once but if i reload immedaitely, it wont crash again until after i have shutdown and restarted the computer the next day. Previously, the problem was with the shaders.dll file. However, with the latest scripts, its now the game.exe.

My most recent crashdump.txt is attached. If you get the chance to look at it and notice anything i can do to sort this out i would be grateful.

OK, got another one. This time it was shaders.dll again that crashed. This time whilst repairing a mass of light tanks on under.

I am using these scripts now (formerly used 2.92) and all I can say is=

I'm lovin' it!

I got a Ati 2600XT using Catalyst 7.10 and Multisampling AA rox!

Furthermore zero crashes at all.

I like many others have had no problems with lag. The only time 3.x lagged is when jon released one version with a nice memory leak but that soon got patched.

I always run all defaults, except for whatever Renguard did for years, I installed this to test some scripts on my servers and have had no problems. Only thing I seen, it has something that overrides my video card settings for v-synch. You can go into the BHS menu within game to turn this off though. Maybe that's what your friends are talking about. I noticed it Turns on V-Synch locking my FPS at 60fps...which is plenty and you wont notice a difference in game play from 60fps and up...I un-checked vsynch to test..and I was 100-200 in aow games 150-300 in snipers...looked the same to me. Smile

I simply can't run them myself. Never was able to. Always had issues. I was never able to even start my game. Majority including myself couldn't due to computer specs.

Either don't compile shaders.dll (right click on it, choose "unload project"), or follow the steps on this thread (http://www.renegadeforums.com/index.php/m/0/26642/0/20619/#msg_26642)
