Let's not copy all info that is posted on these forums over there, though. We should encourage people intrested in Renegade to come here, rather than giving them partial copy-paste info over there.

I don't understand, are you saying you would put these forums activity, as a priority over getting information to new eyes, and potentially new players?
I think it's better to reach as many people as possible over traffic to a particular site.
For me, it's like comparing people who release there work to the community, and those that don't. I would rather have an empty server myself, if it meant that more players stayed, even it they did stay in other peoples servers.
I don't see any draw-backs in posting as much as possible over there. If people stopped using this forum, and they only used the EA forum, then what does it matter? It would mean less work for the administration, and lower bills. And on the plus side it would reach a wider audience.
I don't understand the logic, is it a sense of loyalty to the administration? I'm sure they would agree with the above, afterall, we all love renegade. Infact, it might be an idea to just foward this domian to there forums, and migrate the database over there.

The problem is not that the other forum will have info, it will have partial information. People that only visit that forum will think it's complete information and not come here to check out the full info.
It's like saying: we have been releasing our source code for years on this site; now that there's a new site, one of us goes to release his new stuff on both sites, rather than go to the new site and invite them to come over here where we not only have all new releases of all coders but also an overview of everything that has been released before.
Besides that, i truely don't believe that EA should have any chance of taking over these forums, for the simple reason that they're incapable of doing so in the long run. I mean... they swapped forum software and didn't even bother to convert their oild database: they just started from zero again. Imagine if Crimson would do so, she'd get a shitstorm all over her...

I see, you're basing this in the belief that there administration here are capable of doing a better job, right?
That makes more sense, they're proven to do a great job here.
But I wouldn't let that stop anyone from using the EA forum, it could mean someone gets to see news about renegade that they wouldn't of seen before.
I wouldn't just dismiss them out of hand just because they're EA, it's all about what's good for renegade.

I'd rather make sure that every post you make has a little link: read more about this "here", where here would be a link to these forums. Or at least add a "source" link which leads here.
