What is it that you think he is going to do for you that made you vote for him? Be specific.

Their are four different definitions of that. I bet you didn't know what the answer was? The one stated in the interview is one of the least known.

So your answer to why you voted for Obama is you didn't want the other party to win. So your vote wasn't for anyone

I'd still love for any of you who voted for Obama to say what he will do for you?

if your going to post a response like that calling one of the co candidates a "n00b" then you obviously lack the maturity to vote, let alone post in this topic.
I didn't vote for him because of his policies and the fact that he has lied on several occasions, among other fuck ups.
It seems more than likely that he got so much of the vote because of the color of his skin.
I really hate how ignorant America can be sometimes.

When I'm not so lazy, I'll show that it's not the taxation that makes us consider him to be a Socialist. There's more to Marxism than just wealth redistribution. Let's not forget about enslaving our kids in public education, for one.

Edit: I don't hate him just for his policies either. I hate him (just as I do McCain) for the fact that what he (and several presidents before him -- Bush, Clinton, etc...) wants to do is Unconstitutional.

What is bad about public education?

And why is the constitution so important to you?

I'm not entirely against public education, as long as people have a choice to where they send their kids... be it public or private. That way, kids aren't indoctrinated like they are in America.

The Constitution is a well-written document, and it limits government to the size that I like it. Not to mention that America is a republic, and if the people aren't above the law, neither should the government be. To disrespect the rule of law is to become a democracy, and democracy is just another word for mob rule.

Does obama plan to make policies that force you to go to a public school? No sarcastic question or something, I dont know that much about the candidates (since I cant vote anyway because im, uh, not american) positions.

Still, you shouldnt just say "their behaviour is unconstitutional", say what exactly is wrong about it. I dont know the constitution (again, not being american Wink), so when you say that their positions, laws and acts arent constitutional I dont really know what you mean by that ;(

Don't know for sure, but if he can, I guarentee he would. I know alot of Democrats want to outlaw homeschooling, and a good majority of public schools lean towards the democratic side (AKA, obama's side).

He means the government breaks the laws the people have to follow. And the laws that are specifically stated FOR the government to follow. The constitution, in short, is a document made as a general guideline for both the people and for the government to follow. But mostly, it's a paper meant to restrict the government's ability. When they start controlling and changing things for specific people like taxes, education, and so on, they're going against the constitution. Cheesesoda would be better at explaining this than me, though.

Democracy is majority control, no matter how stupid the majority is. A Republic is a country ruled by law- Both the government and its people must abide by it.

Well, it doesn't necessarily mean we're becoming a democracy, but the people are voting in candidates who make it blatantly obvious that they're not going to respect the rule of law. It's mostly the people who don't seem to understand the concept of a republic. The government is supposed to follow the law. Once the government ignores one law, there's no reason why they won't ignore more laws... and that's exactly what happened. With the people still maintaining "control" over who's elected, it's just becoming more of a representative democracy than it is a representative republic.

As for what's Unconstitutional, what I do know of Obama's plans, he wants to tax the rich more and give to the poor. While some will argue that an income tax is no longer illegal because of the 16th Amendment (illegally ratified), the uneven distribution of that money is what's Unconstitutional. Of course, as I said, I'm not just pointing the finger at Obama, as many presidents have been willing to ignore the rule of law, as well.

As for schooling, if you send your kid to public school, you really don't have any choice as to where the kids can go. If you're within a school district, you are forced to send your kids to the district's schools. Unless, of course, you want to homeschool your kids or send them to private school.

It might be illegal, but I think its right. Its not actually right, but its "more" right than how it is currently. In a perfect world, we would have a fixed rate for everybody, but this world isnt perfect, so we'll have to rip of the rich first because there is no other option.

oh, didnt know that. its a bit different in germany, although we have our own problems (mainly because its really hard fire teachers, a lot of incompetence ensues).

Oh, it's one hell of a bitch to fire bad teachers here, too. Hooray for the teachers union. That and we can't give bonuses to good teachers, so there's absolutely no incentive to be a better teacher.

Even if it is "more right" (which I would argue AGAINST), the fact that it's illegal is where the entire argument should end. Ignoring the law, once again, starts to dissolve the republic.

The rich spend more, therefore they'll be paying more in taxes at a flat rate. Plus, no way can someone bypass a national sales tax like they can the income tax. There'd be plenty of money from the taxes coming in if my government stopped spending money on useless wars, foreign bases, agencies, and programs.

Do you realize how preposterous it is to suggest that Obama will ever be assassinated?

There is always a minuscule chance, always, and no technology will ever change that. However, it's impossible to ignore the insane Tech and methods the SS uses.

We have fucking lasers. Lasers that are going to be mounted on the front of jets that can shoot down missiles. From a billion and a half miles away.

Fucking lasers.

The real SS OPERATORS are pretty much like the assassins from Wanted, too. Fuck lasers, they can shoot the bullets out of the air with actual goddamn bullets.

Obama is a very, very safe man right now. Safer than anyone here will ever be in their lifetime.

Dying at the hands of the SS in an attempt to assassinate the President would be a pretty badass way to go out, though.

Why? if its illegal but right (again, up to debate and soem of the stuff the government does illegal is also not right, such as giving teachers, policemen etc special rights -.- <- Dont know if all that is covered in america btw, in germany those 2 examples are both jobs in which you are a beamter and thus almost not fireable and i dont know where im going with this) then make it legal. Those founding fathers might have been pretty smart, but they werent perfect either and they sure as hell didnt make these laws for the 21st century (which you can notice by looking at the current election process, it sure made sense when they created the constitution, it doesnt know though).

True, the government is currently too much involved in things. However, for some things we need a government. For example stem cell research. you cant really tax the people who need it because you dont know in advance who's gonna need a cure for cancer. the NASA might not have use for us, but at some point we will probably need to expand beyond earth and if we only have a slightest piece of responsibility, we should make sure our sons can. But burding these things on people who dont even have the money to buy their food, I find that kind of disgusting ;S

Damn, I am so bad at getting my point across, its unbelieveable.

Also u6795, do you have any proof of that? because that really just sounds stupid.
