[NE | Fobby[GEN] wrote on Thu, 30 October 2008 17:06]I'd vote Obama if I were an American. Not that I like the guy very much, but his policies are more appealing to me than McCain's. McCain's sided with Bush on pretty much everything, and these past eight years have been a disaster to the U.S economy and public image.
Not that I think Obama would change much, but McCain will probably either do nothing or take another step in the wrong direction.
The McCain's campaign has made so many attacks and very false accusations to Obama, by first calling him inexperienced, then bringing up his former pastor, then calling him someone who hangs around terrorists, and now a socialist. If Obama is a socialist, then that would make me Stalin. I was also not happy with McCain's VP pick - a mayor of a small town and the governor of Alaska for less than two years - throws the "inexperienced" argument right out the window.
Just my crazy Canadian opinion of course.

And before the Bush administration there was the Clinton administration, and before that.. Do you see the pattern here? Frankly it is very ignorant to blame the problems of America on the president. The president is one person, whom actually has limited authoritive power without consent. Everyone thinks that someone else can do a better job. Everyone thinks that they themselves can do a better job. The reality of it is that no one really can, because you can't please the entire nation, ever. It doesn't even matter which party gets the presidency, its going to be the same thing for the rest of our lives: "The 'X' administration doesn't know what they're doing, we need change! And new people! And he/she/it can do it better!" Whoever gets the presidency does what they think is right, to the best of their ability. The presidency will never please its nation because unfortunately we are all human, and we all have opinions, views, and by human nature "so and so can do it better".

Under Clinton, sub-prime lending didn't exactly go unnoticed. (Which uh, sort of is why our economy is in such a disaster)
Under Clinton, we had the chance to get rid of osama bin laden. But didn't.
Under Clinton, our military was fucked up pretty badly.
Clinton was NOT a great president. Not saying Bush was either, but I hate it when people say Clinton was such a great president.
As for Ron Paul though, I agree. I miss him too. I really wish he had been the nominee. He mostly didn't get it because he was HONEST. And people hate honesty in politics, as much as they orgasm over it whenever Obama says he's LOL HONEST AND WILL BRING ABOUT CHANGE LOL.

I hate this forum... I just lost everything I had said by a connection interruption...
Just a quick reminder for everybody who hates Bush so much and thinks that he's to blame everything... HE. CAN'T. PASS. LEGISLATION. ON. HIS. OWN. Congress (House of Representatives AND the Senate) must agree upon and pass the legislation before it goes to the Executive Branch for the president to sign/veto. As far as I have heard, there hasn't been anything huge that Bush has had to veto that Congress has passed.
Who has the 3x the approval rating as the other? That's right, G.W. does. His approval rating around 30% is 3x the Congress' approval rating of 9%. While Bush may be fucking with our nation, Congress is obviously doing worse, and who are they controlled by, albeit slightly? The Democrats.
Oh, and let's not forget who agreed with Bush on the $700 billion bailout. Kerry, Edwards, Obama, Clinton, McCain, and a sizable majority of Democrats. Less than 50% of Republicans in Congress voted for it.
Edit: Cabal, the Republican Congress didn't want Clinton to go after bin Laden. They thought it was a waste of time, then 9/11 hit, and they attacked Clinton for not going after him.
whoa.

For what it's worth, one of the reasons bin Laden was not eliminated was due to bickering among the CIA, FBI, and the military, and their jurisdictions.
Richard Clarke makes a big note of this in his book. They had actually been spying on bin Laden for months using drones as he walked freely in his compound/village. Essentially they were just about to rig up a drone to dump a payload, but the operation was scuttled when those three organizations began to argue.

FOXNEWS CONSERVATIVE!!! God, I hate it when people do shit like that to me. Especially on the APB forums.
According to Al Sharpton, if Obama loses, there will be riots in the streets because all the black people that voted for OsamabinBiden will riot.

actually Clinton had a budget surplus(one of the very very few), didn't f*** with other countries(a good thing), had the lowest inflation, biggest home ownership and lowest uneployment rate while he was a president, so I hate when people say Clinton was a bad president. And then Bush came....

Because the popular third parties are about reducing the size of government involvement.
Edit: Clinton didn't fuck with other countries? What the fuck are you smoking? Ever hear of a little thing called Kosovo? That's just one of his foreign "military aid" campaigns during the 1990s. The only thing he didn't do was topple a foreign government, but he sure as Hell did send the military into foreign conflicts.
whoa.

Well, Michigan has N****rville, USA, and North N****rville, USA. Not to mention Wayne County, a bunch of liberal assholes.
Oh, and who am I voting for? Neither Obama nor McCain, so my vote obviously isn't going to directly help elect the next president. Still, even if my vote ends up being nothing more than a civil protest, I'm still using my voice.
Plus, if all of the 150 million people that don't vote actually did, I'm guessing we'd see a lot different of a race.
whoa.
