I'm not great with cars, but here are some common sense tips...

Know what you're looking for before you go. Know the optional accessories that you need or don't need. If you don't need seat warmers, avoid spending extra money on shit like that. Non-standard items only help to increase profit and most people can live without.

Also, avoid buying a NEW car. Once you drive it off of the lot, you just lost thousands of dollars in value. Used cars retain their value much better, and you can get a lot better deals on used rather than new.

Don't lease the vehicle unless you know it won't be abused or driven a lot. Charges add up in a hurry. My parents know this from his current car. My dad would have owed a large sum of money had he not decided to buy his car outright at the end of his lease.

The MSRP is just an arbitrary number. Don't think it's a good deal.

whoa.

Go for a used car, preferably one that's just off-lease, because you'll be getting a car that has been checked, and should be under warrenty.

With new cars you can pick your own color! Wink

No, seriously, it all depends on what your sister wants from a car. Usually you can't go wrong with German quality (VW group, for example), though Japanese cars are also pretty good quality nowadays. Avoid American cars unless you have a source of petrol in your garden.

FUCK YOU.

The chevy malibu has a V8 and with cylinder deactivation gets 31 mpg. The Tahoe hybrid gets 22 mpg, and Chevy is coming out with a new electric car.

If you are going for gas milage, get a newer chevy.

I own a 66 barracuda that will get an engine transplant to a 6.0 liter engine. I want a 6.8. Very Happy

She would probably like the new Fiat 500. Recently the build quality has gotten a lot better too. I was unfortunate enough to have a car from earlier times so would never buy Fiat again.
