I own a mouse with 5 buttons on it, however Renegade can only recognize input from the Left, Right and Mouse wheel buttons. Would there by a way for TT to fix that?

Ya same here, I have to setup free aim as v then set up my mouse on setpoint that when i press the button on my mouse (left side) its like pressing the v to get it to work.

Can't you do that already using keycfg.exe in your Renegade folder?

think we have the same logitech Big Grin

most 5 (+) button mice come along with some software to bind keys to the mouse keys

I think JW already added support for more mouse buttons.

I have a mouse with one extra button on the side.

It's default function is magnify, but through the mouses options I changed it to the V (free aim) key.

I am not sure if your mouse has similiar options though?

Support for using the left and right side buttons on mice with more than 3 buttons
Is that enough confirmation? Wink

It says this right in http://www.renegadeforums.com/index.php?t=msg&th=29310&start=0&rid=2 3955 , the very first thread put here, and one of the few stickied threads. It was also listed in the initial scripts 4.0 changelog thread.

Haven't you ever heard of TL;DR?

Because the 5 seconds you need hitting ctrl+f or F3 and searching for "button" in that topic is way too much work, whereas taking 4 seconds to post this thread is not. And the several minutes that others need to spend to read your unwillingness to spend any effort at finding what you want is, ofcourse, irrelevant. Because hey, you got the answer that you were looking for and who cares about anyone else?

Now you're talking. Gooooo narcissism!

Anyway, why don't you just relax a little bit. There's no need to be so hostile over a question. I answer stupid questions about Renegade all the time in the Mod Forums, and over AIM! I can also do it without coming off as a total prick, too! Try it sometime.

Holy crap 5 seconds to hit ctrl+f! And several minutes to read his post! I hate to say it, but your a tad on the slow side if it takes a few minutes to read his post, and 5 seconds to hit ctrl+f.

I'm sorry about it being targeted at you Canadacdn, at this single case. There have been many other posts that were just as useless or even less useful. It's just that I got rather annoyed with your response TL;DR. If it would simply be "oh, overlooked it" then fine. This just shows complete disrespect tbh. I have answered stupid questions for a few years and enjoyed it as long as people showed respect, so "try it sometimes" is not really applicable.

I will stop replying after this because it probably turns out in a pointless, endless yes/no discussion. If you really want to continue send me a PM and I will reply but I don't think it's worth it.
