I just read up on the DRM being included with RA3, and it really isn't as bad as everyone is making it out to be.

Actually, it is worse and nobody is exaggerating anything; I certainly haven't.

I am not going to repeat what I have said before many times in this thread.

CS call after 5th install, beg and plead for 6th install. No thanks!

No it isn't worse. I've been following this thread, and that was before knowing any solid facts about what this DRM was. When I finally read official facts about it, I realized that everyone was over reacting.

It's not that bad.

The only negative thing is that it restricts your product, but that isn't something you can say "OMG I spent $50 on this and I deserve to use it!" Because what you spent $50 on wasn't the game, but 5 hassle free installations of the game.

I'm gonna be honest, the DRM is one of the last things that would prevent me from buying the game. It's the fact that the game has armoured parachuting bears, and transformers that is stopping me from getting it.

The only game where everyone competes to be an e-janitor.

Tbh that's just the start of the stupidity, the fact that engineers can swim is an even stupider idea imo, and to add I don't like how EA is going for the "look RA3 has pretty girls" gimmick (I miss Borris and the original Tanya Sad).

Engineers have to swim because most structures can be built on water. And if you are implying Tanya from RA2, then she isn't the "original" Tanya.

Well yea I did forget the one from RA but I would even prefer her over the RA3 one.

Install limits = no purchase. I'm not so keen on getting RA3 that I'd go through the trouble of buying it then hunting down a crack for the DRM, and I don't pirate games as a rule, so I'll pass.

"Arms discourage and keep the invader and plunderer in awe, and preserve order in the world as well as property. Horrid mischief would ensue were (the law-abiding) deprived of the use of them." - Thomas Paine

Remember, kids: illiteracy is cool. If you took the time to read this, you are clearly a loser who will never get laid. You've been warned.

Install limits = no ownership. I look forward to seeing the piracy vs sales numbers for RA3.

Once EA has realized this is causing more piracy they will either loosen the DRM or try to make the DRM stronger and make people want to get it legally even less(more likely this option), though this is lazy EA we're talking about so they will probably just leave it and get to work on another game.
