Do you ever answer nicely? I've seen alot of your posts lately in this section and you seem to get an attitude with everyone.

I would be getting pissed off about people asking for release dates too. It says explicitly in jonwil's post that TT does NOT know when Scripts 4.0 will be out, and to not ask.
It's not like the community is being very nice to the TT group, given that like Ghostshaw said, they are doing this in their free time. They're not getting paid, and they did us the courtesy of announcing that it would be done at all. They COULD have kept it a secret, but they didn't... and this is how we repay them? By asking when it will be released? Bitching about the fixes they're putting their effort into?
Like I said, I'd be getting pissed off too.

There is a history to that post. Hitman asked at least once before and already got the answer that he shouldn't ask again, which is exactly what he did now. It clearly says so in the announcement post too, and I assume he has read that because otherwise, how would he know there is no release date in there? He knows he shouldn't ask and still does, well, to me that's less polite than my reply to him...
I don't see where I got the position of representing the Renegade community though. Also, I really don't know what's so bad about my posts. I think there are others in TT that are less friendly tbh. You're not identifying me by my avatar? Because most guys in TT use the same avatar, but they are not the same persons.

I guess you call anyone that does not entirely agree with you an ass right?
Anyhow, with something likew this, where most work is done mby disassembling renegade, it is incredibly hard to project ANY timeframe. The fact that everyone is doing it in it's spare time makes it even harder.
Oh, and if you're (still) trying to identify who's an arse, then me AND you would be a good gamble to begin with.

Well, if you want a guess from me, who is not a TT member and has no idea where the coding is at at the moment, I'd say we shouldn't expect the beta before next year.
As said: I'm not informed at all, but it seems best to me to not put our hopes up for this year: there's only 4 months left after all and I know how much time coding takes.
However, I'm confident that we won't need to wait another year. I don't think they would have announced it if they knew it would take at another year or so.

No, I don't use any skins anymore and don't plan to.
I don't even know what was in the original archive...I updated the file on my webspace every few weeks and then other people like boomer put their own skinpacks together and called it pimpmyren as well. The only files in there that I created were the reticles, some rims and later on some ground textures, anyway...:/
