I dont know much about wireless settings or routers but i need to find a router that can give my moms pc some pretty good speed with a matching wireless card to install into it i have as of now a 10mb download and 1 mb upload CABLE internet i need to find a good router to send good speeds to my moms pc and it says stuff about mbps and idk what that is or what speed for a router to match it maybe someone can fill me in?

no more then 150 bucks maybe a little less let me say it this way my speed is set up from charter as 10mb down and 1 mp up lets say i want my wireless pc (my moms) atleast half that speed

Apparantly you already have a wired router. You just need a wireless switch to put behind it.
The max speed is usually 58 Mbps. This goes down as the signal becomes less strong. It's hard to determine how fast the signal will weaken, it mostly depends on the distance and the amount of walls between your wireless router and your mum's computer. But it also depends on the material the walls are made of. In general, if your house isn't too big, you should have a decent signal all over your house.
You can add a USB wireless adapter or a network card that supports wireless to her computer (USB is easier ofcourse).
Costs:
- wireless switch: around 60 $
- wireless USB adapter: around 40 $?

well its rights below my room im upstairs and maybe 10 feet to the left so one story up higher and 10 feet to the left and the house is all drywall the one we have now is ok but i wanna see my other better options

Well any router and any wifi dongle will give you what you want. You have a 10mbit connection and the slowest router/dongle kits are 54mbit.
Didnt you mention before you already have a wireless router when we tried to setup your WPA/MAC filter settings? Just go and get a $20 wifi dongle and you're done.

Im gonna say this one more time because you dont seem to understand... The slowest routers you can get is 54g (54mbit) they dont make any slower anymore. Even if you got one from years ago then you'd have 11b which is 11mbit 1 more then your connection speed anyway.
Go and get yourself a Wi-Fi dongle....And before you ask, get any one.
