- A dropdown is probably too hard.
- The bug where / in the middle of a sentence started autocompletion has been fixed.
- The bug where /page is autocompleted to something else is perhaps fixable. I will look into it as soon as we decided upon a improved way of autocompleting.
- Autocompleting the middle of a name is technically hard because of the way it currently works (it autocompletes, then sets the selection to the autocompleted part of the nick so that the next key press overwrites the autocompleted part. If you auto complete on both sides, you'd need two selections, which is impossible).
- The tab "complete until difference" idea is possible (you probably got the idea from some linux shell, it's the way they use), the "cycle through options" using tab is probably also possible.
- About the player id thing: you can't get the player id of a player, so that's not good. The ingame rank can change, so it might be inconvenient if you're trying to send a message to player #3, right he ranks up to #2.
