This is all over our news, and new things are coming out about it, most unverified by the RCMP. Some people say that there could have been cannibalistic acts too.
It was a very bad way to start my day when I flicked on the TV when I woke up, and heard about it.
Frankly, I don't think ethnicity matters at all. I figure that there's a good chance the suspect is likely schizophrenic, or suffers from a similar sickness.
I'm happy that they have him alive, as it'll help to give some closure, and we can find out why this person committed such acts. If he were shot by a witness, we would likely never know.

But funny how they suppresed the information about the guy's ethnicity...c'mon thats one of the most common questions. you would think one of the passengers could have noticed the guy's physical appearance atleast...

I feel so bad for the victim...poor guy just sleeping/listening on the headphones...this is too horrific...this is a monumental tragedy even if it was just one soul.

The witness's would be talked to by RCMP before doing anything. They would be told to not give out any information at all. If there's an ethnic group involved you won't find out about it until the rcmp releases the information.

They like to keep things on the DL until there is more certainty. Plus, our reporting doesn't focus on race as heavily as America's media.

what i dont understand is how a bus full of people could not do anything about it, including the driver. drivers of these cross country busses should be atleast trained to use somekind of a weapon or have a taser or something... not just run off the bus and close the door behind them. im not saying to fight the guy that is holding a machette or whatever, but as far as i heard this person only had a small to mid size knife 2 people could have easily restrained him, since witnesses said he wasnt even paying attention to anyone around him while stabbing the passanger.
heck just punch him in the back of the head so he gets dissy enough for you to grab the knife.
apparently as the passangers were holding the bus door from the outside to keep the guy held up in there till the police get there he was banging the victims severed head on the windows of the bus
but nonethe less this is some messed up shit right there, something you definetly hope not to ever hear about again.
