What OS is she running?

On her computer in the share settings, you'll need to specify a local user that has access to the shared files. Then on your computer, you can map a drive. Check the box that asks you if you want to connect as a different user and type HERPCNAME\Username and the password when it prompts you.

Go whitelist your subnet in your mom's firewall.

LOL, you blacked out the wireless channel. Fucking bravo. Thumbs Up

Anyway, like I was saying, go whitelist your subnet on your mom's computer. Open up her firewall program and look for a way to allow network IPs to access it. It doesn't even need to be the whole subnet; you can just allow your computer's IP access.
