How many people on Renforums have take the Political Compass Test? I'd be interested to see where it maps out people on this forum.

Take the test, and then post your results on here. Ready? Go!

Here are my results:index.php?t=getfile&id=6924&private=0

Taking it now, I really wish some of them had "neutral" options. :/

I'm not going to do that test, but I'll tell you what I got from OK Cupid's Political Test: 'Anarchist'; 100% economically 'conservative', 83% socially 'liberal'.

I don't agree with the "anarchist" moniker, but I'd say I'm definitely Minarchist (libertarian).

whoa.

No... I'd be just off bottom center towards the right. I'm a libertarian. I'm not a fascist or a neo-con.

Edit: Nevermind, I guess I misunderstood the meaning of the graph. Now that I took the test, I see that you knew more than I did about it.

I'm towards the bottom, right corner. The way the questions were worded, it was a bit hard for me to actually pick what I believe to be true in terms of my political views. Some of the questions were geared way too much towards your personal beliefs in morality and such. I try not to base my political views on my emotions, and tests like that seem to circumvent my stance on principles rather than emotions.

whoa.

There should be some "I don't know" or "I don't give a fuck" options... I can't choose a side for everything, and some questions I didn't fully understand.

That's a stupid reason to quit the quiz. It was just trying to see if you are a moral crusading asshole or if you are open-minded.

That question was just to see if you think morals are handed down to us by a god/gods and therefore it is trying to test if you think morals are connected to religion.

Agreed that it is a stupid statement but it is not asserting that...just asking for your opinion on it.

Presence is a curious thing, if you think you need to prove it... you probably never had it in the first place.

That was a stupid test, some of the questions have no bearing on a person's political standings. Like, "a significant advantage of a one-party state is that it avoids all the arguments that delay progress in a democratic political system", yeah an advantage to a one party state would be the expedient passing of new laws but the disadvantages would be ten fold. The moral questions were retarded as well, just because I would not do that act doesn't mean the government should stop people from doing it.

Another way of saying that you hate Capitalism because some people just fucking suck at life, and you somehow need to make exceptions for those assholes while condemning those that are market savvy and take advantage of situations and strike it rich.

whoa.

So, all those people who don't have jobs during the Great Depression are LOSERS? Is it THEIR FAULT that companies can't afford to give out jobs?

Not entirely correct. There are jobs whose salaries are lower compared to other jobs despite being just as important for the community, despite being just as hard work.

Capitalism isn't perfect, but tampering with it doesn't make it any better, or any more just. Sure, you can make it more equalized, but that's a Robin Hood fantasy ideal. Sure, I'll admit it's a nice idea to think that everybody can live in harmony and be equal, but that means people like me have to work to help others, and that's certainly not fair or just in my case.

I have absolutely no problem donating to help others, let's get that clear. In fact, I think we DO have a duty to help others, as a society. However, having the government do that is incredibly unjust. I can't support the idea of protecting people by impeding on the rights of others. If I don't benefit from what I pay towards the government (and American income tax money doesn't even go towards any of the programs Americans expect to benefit from, anyway), then I shouldn't have to pay for it.

I don't mind if others benefit from the services I receive from the government and pay for. Like, for instance, the police force. I don't mind the government protecting those that don't pay taxes, but I want to benefit from that service, as well. If I'm forced to pay money towards welfare, then I want my money back in the form of a welfare check.

whoa.
