My dad is a state trooper and he was watching videos on youtube and came across this just for a simple traffic stop and this black asshole has to shoot a police officer its just not right these people need to be locked up for life. Think about it 63 years is not enough. Police get killed daily its a dangerous job, my dad has come across many vicious people in his career its a terrible thing, me and my family worry about him everyday. Also my dad knows steven he works for a sheriff department for wake county my dad has met him before. This is also showing what its like on duty for traffic stops 24/7 and how dangerous this can be.

I'm going to be completely honest here. (First off I didn't watch the video)
I cannot stand police officers. I have absolutely no respect for them at all. They think that just because they have a badge and the government gave them a small amount of authority over everyone else that they have the right to thing they are better than everyone else.
A good cop is an officer that will:
-Help someone in need, no questions asked
-If the area is quiet and they are patrolling through it... KEEP it quiet and not blast their siren or something for kicks.
-Treat other citizens with the exact same respect they are looking to receive and none of that "I'm all high and mighty crap."
I can go on and on with listing what a good cop should be, but I have never seen an officer with 2 or more of those traits...
If you ask me, the crime rate is going up against officers, but to be completely honest, they brought it on themselves.
Now I'm not saying ALL police officers are stuck up jerks who enjoy pushing others around, I'm just saying that for those of them that are like that (and there are quite a bit), it is THERE fault that many people dislike being in the presence of police officers and for that same reason crime against police officers has gone up.
If police officers could just be normal friendly people than I bet there wouldn't be nearly as much violence against them in the first place.
EDIT:
I watched the video. I don't think the guy is an "animal" I just think he lacks the ability to control his anger and aggression. He is probably stereotypical thinking that all cops are just there to hurt the public and hide behind a badge. I think that he should be locked up for life, not because he assaulted a cop but because he fired it in a person's face. A.K.A Attempted Murder. The fact that he shot at a cop should be irrelevant.
