You know those keys like q and ctrl that most people never use...

Well I was wondering if it is possible to change these keys to more easy to use keys.

data\config\input01.cfg should have all the standard key settings in, if you can't find them in the ingame settings menu. But as far as I know the ingame config menu can set all of the possible keys, other than the bhs.dll ones which can be edited with keycfg.exe in the Renegade folder.

I can find no way in the ingame menu you change the aircraft straving key.

I can find every other key in the ingame menu. Except this one.

I suspect that's because VTOLs were introduced in a patch, so they never bothered to make it configurable...

You hold down Ctrl and then press a movement key right?

Q is used to let the passenger fire out of your tank. Not used often, but it's useful for example on mesa in 2v2. If one of the GDI had the box and gets a med before the partner can, the partner can get in and shoot the power plant a few times quickly while Q'd, then get out and suicide.

This speeds up the process of letting your partner shoot for credits, because you don't need to keep switching seats, and can keep shooting once the partner got enough money to buy a new one.

If you use WASD I find it's easier to get to reload (R), use (E) and crouch and the rest of it, try it.
