The game is only as limited as your intellect is. As with your case, creating levels for this game will be very limiting for you.

If you think renegade is limited why are you still here?

Maybe it is true, but remarks like this coming from the Admin of any "Official Public Forum" is simply unprofessional.

The truth is I didn't expect to see these public displays of personal biases from you, or any of the Moderators.

Tell me again what separates this place from n00bstories, beside the obvious web address and such. The mentality seems to be same now a day.

Last time I checked, AircraftKiller wasn't an Admin of these forums. And how exactly is saying that this game isn't limited, if you know what you're doing unprofessional?

Since when has agreeing with what someone said meant you're biased? Are you saying that the Moderators cannot have their own opinions or agree with anyone? Just because someone has a different opinion than you doesn't mean they're biased.

Let me see if I can understand what you're saying... You want a moderator or admin to be a mindless unopinionated robot... right. That makes a world of sense. Now, before you say "No thats not what I meant at all"; maybe you should read what you wrote, because thats the message you're getting accross.

As for the difference between n00bstories and these forums: It's quite simple. n00bstories cared, Westwood didn't. n00bstories got these forums because they were the most publically approved sect, (not to say the other conditates weren't) and thus, they got them. n00bstories the site itself is not affiliated with these forums other than by the webmaster. Otherwise the n00bstories admin/moderation would also be in the like place here; but they're not.

Of course the mindset would be similar, but that doesn't mean that Crimson/Blazer cannot have an opinion of their own, esspecially when it comes to a low-life twit like CaptKurt. Maybe you should look at the link in his signature to see why Aircraftkiller dislikes him so, and since he is friends with the webmaster, they share a similar opinion. The kid is a twit, and the administation agrees. Unprofessional would be the banning of him, but I don't see that.

Crimson is entitled to her opinion.

And ACK is NOT saying anything except the intellect of the individual modding the game, is it's only limiting factor.

A point proven by his ability to make the game engine do wonderful things while still being dated.

I’ve known AircraftKiller is not an Admin since before the new Forums were created and the first half of his statement is insightful. The second half is typical, but really has nothing to do with my point.

My use of the word bias is correct. Bias: A preference or an inclination, especially one that inhibits impartial judgment.

KIRBY098

ACK is NOT saying anything except the intellect of the individual modding the game, is it's only limiting factor.

I’m not questioning his skill set or even anyones opinion on CaptKurt in this case.

Ah… look again my worthy adversary. I said public displays. I, as many of you, believe everyone is entitled to his/her opinion and I believe that Crimson’s opinion is worth respecting, as well as many of your opinions are. The only thing I questioned here is the public display. Do Umpires let the public know who their favorite Baseball team is? Does the moderator in a debate say whom they want to win? Of course not, but they have an opinion and in most cases they at least put on the guise of being impartial. The public wouldn’t trust them in their position that calls for impartiality if they publicly display their partiality.

I do realize this is not a place of business and being an Admin or Moderator here is not a profession; And my thinking that it should be run like that is just an opinion.

I thought he was talking to ACK, considering ACK's comment was the last one referencing limitations and there was no quote.

Do Umpires let the public know who their favorite Baseball team is?

Of course not. If an Umpire did that, and made the news public, then it can be expected that a bias may be placed on in-game decisions such as a slide to first base, or what not.

Quote:

Does the moderator in a debate say whom they want to win?

Of course they would (Mind you, not as crudly as saying "blah is going to win"). Just because someone holds a position of power on a forum doesn't mean they aren't entitled to publically voice their opinion. Thats also usually why a forum has more than 1 moderator. So that there is a difference of opinion in all matters. But take this one, for example:

CaptKurt publically attacks Aircraftkiller though a link in his signature. Like most people, Aircraftkiller retaliates and holds a resentment toward said CaptKurt. Since Crimson and Aircraftkiller are friends, they would communicate between each other (or Crimson may reach her own opinion) that CaptKurt is a weak and pathetic individual for resorting to placing a webpage dedicated to insulting Aircraftkiller (a friend) on public display. Moderator or not, Crimson is allowed (and encouraged) to agree with anyone about any statement made. Her attachment to power on the forum doesn't deter that. CaptKurt is in violation of the ToS of these forums, and I believe it is a great use of self control and tolerance between all the adminisration that he is not banned already.

Of course, you're entitled to your opinion of the matter, which you've made quite clear.
