	| So here's my problem. I have Renegade, it works, usually gets to the menu screen, but then at some point between the menu and game start, my computer ... stops. Monitor output ceases, keyboard doesn't respond, only a hard shutdown is possible. It's frustrating, I just spent the past two hours updating drivers for the damn program to work and now it does this! Oy vey!
 Windows XP Professional
 Compaq Presario SR1230NX
 1GB RAM
 ATI Radaeon 9550 / x1050 series
 Soundblaster Audigy

 ::EDIT::
 I TOTALLY forgot to say this: I'm using TFD.
 However, it's relevant and irrelevant as it's what I used before as well.

	| This doesn't really sound like a renegade problem. It seems to me this could be an overheating problem. Or else a virus / extreme spyware maybe?
 You can find me in The KOSs2 (TK2) discord while I'm playing. Feel free to come and say hi! TK2 discord

	| Oh don't make me laugh! It doesn't even start enough to make my first CPU fan turn on, let alone the over heating fans. And no, I haven't updated to the latest *cough* unofficial *cough* core patch.
 Can you upgrade the core patches in TFD? I thought that you were limited on what things you can do with that damn version.
 And there is no spyware on this computer, I take pride in my safeness on the internet. Same with viruses.
