Whats the main cause of getting black screen when load ren up but hearing its mucis

lots of people ask me for help on this and all do diffrenet things

one guy just loaded up one day and got it
another got scripts
one got cp2 and had it
another one got rg and it was black

what causes this cause i guess its not just one thing

It's caused by installing a scripts version lower than 3.x after installing a version 3.x. And this reply is in the FAQ.

Goztow I believe you are mistaken, the "no text in menu" one that is solved by restarting is there but not this one, anyways a solution would be to locate shaders.dll and d3d8.dll(in the main renegade folder) and delete them or just reinstall the latest scripts(3.4.4).
