WTF @ game dialogue: "fuck the shit out of it...you nasty fucker"

What will games be like once fucking and swearing are old hat? What will be left to use for shock value? I guess GTA-V will contain skull-fucking and raping puppies anally.

I'll bet a lot of GTA4'ers lost their load when they went into the strip club.

I voted the third option! I have no intention of ever buying any of the GTA games. From what I've seen you just run around in different vehicles and commit random acts of violence and so on. Sarcasm

There are no good games like System Shock nowadays.

I never, i never even said yes to anyone who offered their services.

Also, Blazer, you might want to take down that youtube link or find a replacement, as it was claimed by Take 2 Interactive and doesn't exist anymore.

I'm over the age of 12 so a game like that does not intrests me.

Agreed with you, I used to play GTA II years ago when it was released on the PS1 (even though I was nowhere near as old as the certificate on it) and just drive around in the tank squishing everything. But I got bored of it after a while, and when I played it again recently it was really dull, loses it's appeal once your a bit older.

Yeah, I used to enjoy driving around in Driver 2 doing random stunts and getting chased by the police. I got my PS1 out a month or so ago and was amazed at how bored I got within about 5 minutes. :/

Got the special edition for $100 (with taxes)
All is good, but the art book is a bit too thin, and the soundtrack CD sux. I expected lot more songs.

The game manual is a peace of Sh*it compared to Vice City manual, and the radio music so far is alright, but nowhere as good as on Vice City. Also the game seems a bit too dark, or does it happen at night at the very beginning.
Plus the online on PS3 does not work at the moment.

SO far, I am disappointed, even though the pool, a tetris like game, and bowling were pretty fun.

How much smarter are police in this game? Do they chase you down for speeding or blowing red lights?

No, however they do chase others, and i don't mean like in San Andreas where you ram a car behind police to make said car hit police, and then get arrested... Well.. Shot at. You can also avoid being arrested when approached by police, tapping a button will make you break out of "bust" and they will shoot at you, but you can get away.

They will also randomly blow the siren at you if you come close to hitting them or run the odd light while they're there. Probably to make you slow down, but would you anyway?

This is America people, running red lights and speeding is natural to your country.

The AI is dramatically improved though. The cars don't follow particular paths layed out on the road, as if they're not cars but trains following a track. They have collision detection, and if they find a gap between cars they'll cut though it nicely. One thing they don't have though is they tend to ignore you, stopping behind you, and then getting impatient and attempting to overtake you, while you're waiting at a red light behind this other car. They'd overtake me, and attempt to pull in in front of me, but then realize that there's a car already there, and stop in the oncoming lane.

Yes, the intro is dark, based at night time. One thing that got me though is the change of time, because if you look back in the trailers, it was day when he walked off the ship.

For some cars, handling as decreased. Your car rocks more when you turn corners it's as if you weren't on road, but on sea, in gale 5 storms. Some cars are quite good at handling, firm suspension, etc. Cars speed and performence will degrade somewhat based on the passenger count, which is also quite interesing. Car models are based from todays world, IE: Partirot = Hummer V2, Banshee = Dodge Viper, Comet = Porche, etc etc, and are quite decently modeled. Damage is just that, your car won't explode if it's not upside-down, etc, and if you hit someone somewhere, you take damage there. Srape alongside the wall? You are missing paint from your door, etc. If you crash into a wall, you leave a mark, impact mark, same with other vehicles if they crash into a wall too.

One of the best things is the lights are dynamic, not just models with textures attached to them. You can alter the brightness of lights too, from highbeam to lowbeam, or if they're already off, you can turn them on.

All in all, it's a generally good game. I haven't tried Multiplayer yet though, so i can't confirm that, but it's quite good.

Alright, now the problems have gotten very serious. You can't even be signed on to PSN when playing the game, unless you want it to freeze.

Yes, but will also be waiting for PC version.

AND I CAN'T FUCKIN WAIT!!!

If it never makes it to PC (which would be a travesty), I'll buy it for 360 and play it at one of my friend's houses.

Alright, the on-line has been working properly for past few days, until they introduced the patch.
Now if more than 4 people join a game, they all get disconnected from the game.

I guess that is what the intent of the patch was....

mhm... good point good games are rare now. But there are some great that will come. I hope for Spore, for Mafia II, GTA and Deus Ex3. GTA IV seems to be also great.

I really like the GTA games.

First the briefings, the charackters are great! The missions are quite funny. And the City. The advertising, the news, the radio, everything is a good spoof of real life. I spent the first weekend after buying GTA III mostly with exploring the city.

Thanks.
