	| I got it fixed. 
 Honestly I don't know what has been damaged but it surely had to be a part of DirectX or the ATI driver files.
 
 What I did to get it fixed: Installed the Catalyst 8.4 after removing the old one (7.11). After the reboot, I updated DirectX to the March 2008 one. And suddenly, everything works again.
