The luck in the accident that is the topic of this thread is that he is racing in today's age. A crash like that 10 years ago would have killed him, or perhaps done some serious damage. Today, there are so many safety devices and precautions that drivers can walk away from almost any crash.

Don't get me wrong, it was an incredibly hard crash, I'm sure they guy was definately shaken up from it. For reference, if you crashed a street car into a wall at that speed, you wouldn't live to tell the tale. Most likely, the car would explode, if not an immense amount of damage would occur virtually rendering the car almost unrecognizeable.
