Why do even the most skilled clan players think that someone was cheating if they get owned bad?

This guy goes by the nick "ExPedro"

I was playing in my homeserver St0rm:

Map: Hourglass
My Vehicle: Med
Character: Hotwire
Location: Left side near tunnel entrance

And I owned this guy (Technician) running into the tunnel with a headshot from a Med tank...just moments later I killed a SBH with 2 shots that was running with him into the tunnel.

It sucks I don't have logs or any SS but he screamed "hax" and left. And he went and added me to the ban list in his server (SK-Gaming Marathon Server). Not that I want to play there lmfao!

Now anyone who has been playing Renegade should know that a person improves with constant playing. I am sure I am not upto the gaming calibre of clan players. But there is no doubt about it that I have mastered this game. I have been playing this game most of my spare time since January 16, 2007. I am no joke.

It is too easy for me do whatever I feel like doing in game. I have no problems owning with any vehicle or character.

The bad part about all this is that I actually liked this guy "ExPedro" and he is a pretty good sniper. But obviously, if I kill him, them I must be using aimbot!

I just found this moments ago when I tried to enter his server:

http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x168/furypilot/ban1.png

These idiots should take their heads out of their asses. This is what happens when you think and claim you are "soo good" and then when some unknown guy kills you and humiliates you, you feel so bad that you abuse the power you have to impose an unfair punishment.

Anyway...this is not a rant...I know what kind of Renegade player I am. Thumbs Up Big Grin Big Grin

NOTE: I looked for their forum but could not find it. Care to point me to it please? Also, this is not a "unban me" b*tching post! This is just to say how cocky some players are.

Because they are insecure wankers who don't want their precious ego bruised.

That's so true. It helps to keep an open mind as you may never know how good is the competition. If the yardstick to measure how good others are is based on your abilities, then you would be in a bit of a rude surprise when some guy comes craping on you.

I never said "OMG I AM THE BEST RENEGADE PLAYER!!!"
I do all my "talking" in-game by playing with the best of my abilities that I have.

Not everything is as it appears
Untouchable
I don't have this problem but it seems to me that if I were playing somewhere and that happened I would simply find a server that was actually worthy of my time and never look back.

He obviously thought that you were cheating. It's not uncommon for server owners to ban (even pre-ban) "known cheaters".

Starbuzz wrote on Tue, 25 March 2008 11:33

Not that I want to play there lmfao!

Yet you went there, and found yourself banned, which is exactly what he wanted. Why did you play right into his hand? Razz

Again, if you knew you were banned, and also don't want to play there (as you said), why did you try to enter his server? Seeing you get "owned" by his ban probably made his day, you should have just stayed away Smile

...But you said you don't want to play there, so why bother? Sorry if it sounds like I'm nitpicking, but the obvious logic errors in your description of the event make my gears grind Smile

Blazer, you should have read my post clearly.

I said this:

Quote:

I was playing in my homeserver St0rm:

And I was also very clear when I said this:

Quote:

And he went and added me to the ban list in his server (SK-Gaming Marathon Server).

St0rm server is not SK-Gaming Marathon lmfao! 2 different servers!

I owned him at the St0rm server, he yelled "hax" and left, and he went to his server, SK Gaming and added me to the ban-list there.

I only found out about this ban BY CHANCE when I wanted to play a nice game on CnC_Field and I looked at the server list, and saw that Field was in rotation in a particular server. Heck, I did not even notice the server name...jumped right in only to find this ban message. I see what this server was and it is SK-Gaming Marathon.

As for asking about their forums, well, this fatass ExPedro has been doing this to many good players. I just talked with another respectable player (and a long-time member here) and ExPedro had banned him too for the same "aimbot"! I also heard from this person that ExPedro has a habit of banning players if they keep owning him and, to make things more difficult, this guy does not speak English that much.

As for the logic, haha, logic runs by life. There is 0% chance I will make a post or say anything that is logically flawed.

@ renalpha: lol man you are funny

Why do you care if he banned you from HIS server, which also happens to be a server that you said you don't want to play on?

Does it just bug you that you aren't allowed there? Guess what, you aren't allowed to get into the trunk of my car...you are herefore BANNED from getting into my trunk! Does that bother you as well? Smile

Just trying to make you see that it's not a big deal..unless of course, the whole point of your post was actually to brag about your headshot skills, disguised as a post saying that he overreacted Smile

FFS, STOP MISUNDERSTANDING ME. The point of my thread was to pointout how getting owned leads to abuse of power. That's the point. I clearly mentioned it in my first post:

Quote:

Also, this is not a "unban me" b*tching post! This is just to say how cocky some players are.

As for the "bragging," heh, I do my "bragging" in-game by simply playing. You have got to be crazy if you think that's why I posted lmfao.

It isn't abuse of power. It is lack of judgment.

I know that guy... well I mean, I've played with him before. He does seem to think a lot of people use aimbots, not just you.

Have you ever played a game, single player or multiplayer, and where faced with a seemingly impossible task? The times where you, without realizing, argue outloud that it is unfair and you cannot beat it (and sometimes the occasional hi-pitched "WHAAAAT?!") You think the game is being cheap.

Well now imagine having the power to stop that. That is all that is going on. He probably has always played things easy. Always winning. If he was to play a game, he would play it on easy just to get the thrill of beating the game.

You can't reason your logic with his, it wont work and he will think you are out-right insane. What he thinks he is doing is the write thing, he isn't abusing powers.
