Hello, I've recently started playing Renegade via First Decade again.
I've got the problem that it randomly freezes and then goes black. I get sound and if i Ctrl Alt Del i go back to the desktop at which point i switch to Renegade and it's fine again.
This is really starting to annoy me as i tend to play online and although it only takes 20 seconds-ish to get back, in those 20 seconds it's easy to be killed.
This is not only presesnt when playing online. i was playing Multiplayer practise and happened.
I'm running Windows XP.

So you get a screen that looks like this if you press "Yes"?
If so, I suggest you change the following settings:
Also, change the resolution to 800 X 600 on the first page. That might help. The trouble is that Renegade eats lots of CPU.

Seems more like a video card problem. Did you try updating the video card drivers to the latest version?
