I use both Firefox and Opera. Opera, I find, is better for downloading and such, and can load some pages which give Firefox trouble. Firefox, on the other hand, seems to load pages a lot faster and, since I have it loaded with NoScript and other plugins, it has also become my secure browser. I might just look into grabbing a copy of Safari, as well, now that it's available for Windows.
IE, no matter the version, can pretty much load any page ever made, but it is crash-happy and full of security holes. I'm a browser security freak, so I hate IE with a fiery loathing passion- enough to have removed all the executables from my comp and set every possible program to use Firefor or Opera instead. I've even, on occasion, been known to delete IE .exe's from the desktops and startup menus of any public access computer I use- provided it already has another browser installed, that is. I can't stand that damned program...

| ROFL, this is an old Textbrowsing Engine...
The best Browser NOW is Opera 9, the best upcoming should be Opera 10. Except Safari can keep up then. And no, Firefox 3 won't be the best over all, because the Fox is getting fatter and fatter -like most of all Software over the Years.
I only use Firefox 2 because of the few good Extensions I am using. The contras= The mozilla Product is eating RAM faster than a human can breathe. It sucks @ playing Realmedia (Although the big Real-Euphoria is over thx to the crappy Flash), I need a WMP-plugin to play Windows Media in the Browser and there are a few sites which produce a Browsercrash. I also have to flush the DNS-Cache sometimes since using Fasterfox. But now the pros= It's the worlds most flexible Browser (and also its Brother Flock), it's Open Source and way less vulnerable in comparison to the MS IE 6+7. There are Extensions for every needs. Even Windows Update is possible.
But if you sum it all up, Opera wins. Lightweight Download, Multilanguage, Bittorrent-Support, an almighty Configmenu like the Fox, E-Mail, saves RAM even better than the IE7, can increase the simultaneous Connections per Server without Extension, can save personal Settings for every Site (Colors, JScript, Header etc)... incredible. Opera is booting faster than the Fox, it can do MouseGestures and it is a bit faster if you turn the Phishingfilter off. This Filter causes a 0,5-1sec Lag while surfing. And that is the only Minus I found on Opera. BTW, it organizes the RSS-Feeds better, because Firefox is limited at this Point.
