wow, you must be a skyline enthusiast. here with snow on the roads for up to 8 months at a time you cannot have a car like this as your primary vehicle or you would wreck it with all the sand and the salt on the road. Not to mention it would be hard to handle on ice and all that.

yeah i have a hard time driving it around in the rain here, i wouldnt want to try it out on the snow, once the turbo spools up the rear tyres have a hard time keeping traction in the dry weather, let alone the wet..

and yes i am a skyline enthusiast, im also a member of the www.skylinesaustralia.com forums and car clubs within my city..

I drive a silver 2001 Chevrolet Impala at 148,000 miles. It's a tough car, looks great, and is one of the few vehicles in the world that has its own logo. I'm buying another one as soon as she gives out on us, the last model made like mine is the 2005 version. The new ones (2006-2010) look too much like Nissans for my tastes.

These aren't photos of my Impala specifically but they'll do.

Is the Impy a 3.4, or a 3.8? The 3.4 had head gasket issues last I checked. But at 148,000, those engines are really just getting started. Mr. Green

I believe our engine is the 3.8 liter. I haven't checked in a while. It's not just in Canada that the Impala is used as a police vehicle - most police departments, sheriffs, and state troopers in the US use 2001-2005 Impalas since they're very dependable and simple to use. It's also great that my car is generally seen as a police model because I can cruise faster than most other vehicles and not run a high chance of being pulled over in a speed trap; officers are reluctant to pull over cars that may be their own.

Police in my city use Ford Crown Victorias as ghost cars. Anyway, I drive a 1995 Honda Accord EX. It's an awesome car and still runs great.

Picture: Mine's actually blue, but it's still the same damn car.

1985 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer has very little of the stock engine set up yet still passes smog. Has been my primary set of wheels since I started driving.

http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e337/falconxl0/volvosmall.jpg

1973 Volvo 145 Fuel Injected with 400,000 miles on the original engine and transmission. Got it running after it sat for seven years. My Grandparents had taken it to a shop and the shop had it for 3 months and couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. Took my 2 hours and a volt meter. Been a great learning experience working on it since all modern EFI systems were basically derrived from the one used on this car.

In Illinois, they use 5.7 Dodge Charger R/Ts as ghost cars. That is something I'd like to see, a ghost cop charger in a car chase. It would look like a street race from far away. Very Happy

My family has a habit of driving cars into the ground, then piecing them back together and driving them some more.

I'm still here in Southern California, trying to eek out a living at a suck ass job until I get through slow but steady school. Worst part is having little time for gaming anymore.

BMW R1200 RT. My Dad and I split the cost, although I mainly did it so he'd have a nice new bike to ride on while we slowly restore the old Bimmer. About 60 mpg, too. Smile

I don't have it anymore... My parents gave it away. Any how this was pretty much my first and only car. Paid 300$ for it. 290,000+ miles on the first engine. We had to replace the door handle (see blue handle) and the water pump. Other than that though it started every time never fail. It wouldn't go over 45mph though... Oh and it had no exhaust system. At all. The exhaust dumped right off the engine block. It was unbelievably loud. If anyone who was riding with me got a phone call I had to pull over and turn it off. Still I loved that car... It had character.

Why would he care? He'd likely just come on over with no shirt on and drink tons of beer. That's the kind of guy he is. Oh and then maybe drive one of their ATVs down the street and crash into a parked car.

That's a damn nice car, but I guarantee a 2005 SS is much faster. Try this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HAXOPKVykZ8

There's nothing wrong with a FWD burnout, especially when you can go 0-60 in 6.5 seconds when the best time a 1996 SS could do is 7.1.

But just for the sheer awe, here's a 1996 SS that would fuck you up: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Fz5g8WNBSYA

After doing some heavy research into what i should get for my next ride, and looking at the price of gas and what i want for hp out of my car. i found it. also been asking Crimson some questions about how blazer is enjoying his altima coupe. i decided to buy the 2008 altima 2.5S convenience package plus some extra features. basically all i am missing from fully loaded is navi, sunroof and leather. to tell you the truth i can live without them.

here is a pic of the same exact car just not mine, mine is a diff color http://en.research.autos.sympatico.msn.ca/autos/vip/gallery.aspx?year=2008&m ake=Nissan&model=Altima&ts=5861972008

sorry didnt have much time to look for pics, so posted the shortcut from msn autos
