I have not played Renegade in a while and earlier today when I get on, it won't let me play online. It says operation timed out.
Did Renegade shut down or is it me?

No, it would show a different message if it was serial/nickname related issue.

Never had this problem unless WOL/xwis was down.

Could you check if your firewall or windows firewall wouldn't be blocking it?

Could you check the solution mentionned in the FAQ sticky on this question:

Problem:

I go on renegade and click on "multiplayer internet", then on "westwood online". When i log in, no servers are found and a message at the bottom says "no game servers found at this time".

Nothing works.
I just reinstalled it and it didn't even ask me for what name I wanted to use. Right now it won't even let me get a nickname.
