I don't know what it was, and I'm okay with not knowing, because I don't expect myself to know everything.

But somehow, I can't accept the whole "It's a conspiricy! The government did it!" option. That kind of thinking is akin to the ancient Greeks thinking Zues causes Lightning. "We can't think up a way this would happen, so we'll blame it on a higher power/authority/something we don't understand!"
