I've seen one on the road already. It's definitely a beauty.
But I'd rather save some money, and buy this, and let the Audi driver have a good look at my taillights.

I'd have to see it in person to decide, but I think I would buy a Lotus Exige S before one of those. Or I'd go for a Porsche 911 GT3, despite:

Many publications were hailing it as the first car to truly be able to beat Porsche - considered by many to be one of the best supercars ever made and the leader in its class. Initial comparison tests have proven quite positive in this respect; Evo Magazine in its comparison test between the R8, 911 Carrera 4S, Aston Martin V8 Vantage and BMW M6 have claimed that the Audi is a better supercar saying that "Audi humbles Porsche. A new dawn starts today." Other publications have also made similar reviews of the Audi beating the Porsche in comparison tests.

The Exige S is much cheaper, with similar 0-60 mph, and it's more "green". The top speed difference between the two doesn't make a difference to me, since the Exige's 148 mph is fine. When would I ever fucking get up to 187?
As for my pro-argument for the R8-priced 911: class and sex appeal. I'd love to fuck it. The R8 on the other hand is an absolute slut, and I don't like sluts.

I'd love to have the up coming ZR1 blue devil from Chevy, but I will settle for a delorean and stuff something big in the back.
I will be too tall to drive these tiny supercars you guys are talking about.

The R8 looks awesome, yet it's not as fast as the price may suggest. It only has 420 HP... It costs 150 Gs. You can get 500+ HP with a Shelby GT for almost a third of that.

The handling sucks on the GT500, according to Richard Hammond. Also, the horsepower isn't quite at 500: 447.
