I got about 3 hard drives.....2 small and one bigger...i bealive they both IDE

i need to be able to plug them into my pc via usb and also a sata hardrive

well this work?

You believe they're IDE? You might want to be sure, also, try wording technical questions clearly.

You also have "about" 3 hard drives... ?!

Look inside your computer. If you see a big flat wire connected to your hard drive than it is IDE.

ya its ide its big and long and ones white and ones blue.....i know for a fact its not sata

one of the harddrive is one form my old pc which is a compaq presario s6900nx and it has same plugins as the other 2 and all work with same cords and ect ect


it uses this cord

Why not skip all of this and buy a PCI expansion card?

Also, if you have IDE cables with two sockets, you can have two drives on the primary IDE port and another one on the secondary with the disk drive, just make sure the jumpers are correct.

wat i need is i cant use them anymore into my pc...i need to turn them inot like a giant jump drive so like via usb i can take to otehr houses....id make them an extrenal hdd but idk how

Get an IDE to USB adapter, some will come with cases which you can store the hard drive in and prevent bare boards from being damaged.
