YOU NEED TO USE YOUR OWN RENEGADE SERIALS OR A APPROVED FDS SERIAL TO START THE SERVER IN WOL MODE.

enjoy

Looks great! Big Ups
Wait... are you sure you didn't steal this idea from Scrin? Wink
On a more serious note, I hope you're aware that BRenBot 1.5 is an outdated version, the new version can be downloaded from here.

after that execute the file to enter the installation.
tick all boxes, except for scripts 2.9.2.
we already have ssaow 1.5 so.. no need to install those old scripts.

Those two cannot both be ticked at the same time, if you ticked 2.9.2 it would untick ssaow 1.5. The idea was to offer an alternative scripts version for servers who don't want ssaow.

Also you have added text into command.xml labelled <Unsorted> <Voting> etc, without a / at the end which would result in the commands.xml file not being parsed correctly.

No, you altered some of the comments and also you replaced the comments marking the beginning of groups of commands with an XML element which has no end, which would cause a parsing error if used.

Bandwidth: 128Kbs 4 players (cable modem/ADSL)

I saw this and thought I had to comment I'm not too sure 128kb/s runs that well with 4 maybe 2 but not 4.

EDIT: Well 4 players with 128 would lag but not alot I guess(unless it is a modded one) I still don't think 4 with 128kb/s would run very well at all really.

SSAOW 1.5 is very outdated. You should include instructions on how to install SSGM 2.0.2 instead.

You took the bandwith / players from the official FDS-guide. They were seen as sufficient in 2002. Today u may easely count 200 KBPS per player for a full 24 players server. That's 4.8 Mbps.

This has everything to do with NUR. Back in the days people set it to something like 10 to save data. Now we set it to max (30) to get lower pings.

Actually he should have just used the BRenBot 1.52 installer which includes SSGM 2.0.2 anyway instead of ssaow 1.5 Rocked Over

Why?

You've done it before, wasting time if you do it slower isnt it?

I have to agree, manually installing each component individually is the way to go, takes more time but ensures everything will work, and if it does, you'll know what caused the problem according to when it started happening.

Yeah I guess if you test the server every time you add something you would know what caused the crash. But if it all works then whats the point? lol
