The renegade disks are supposedly "Copy protected" but I wish to copy them and keep the originals scratch free.
Ashampoo 2008 won't let me do this, claiming its copy protected and bla bla.
MagicISO only does 300m in the unregistered version.
Can someone please tell me what program I can use to make a disc image.
Also something I wish to post here that I feel quite funny, I bought renegade again about 2 years back as I had lost my original serial. When I received the package it had two, different working serials! Lol.

Ty, i thought that most discs that are copy-protected won't work unless the data is in a special order, hence the need to convert it to an image.

If he wants to play Single player, he needs the CD for the movies.

Can't you circumvent that by copying the movies to the harddrive? Should be possible, though I can't test it right now, no renegade CD's here
|
Yes, place the movies in data\movies\
I use Daemon tools to mount and a number of different programs to create images, depending on whether they're copy protected.
Renguard is a wonderful initiative

I have cp2 so I have the no-cd *cough* unofficial *cough* crack.
Just the SP movies and the fact that I end up re-installing ren at least 3 times each year.
SO putting a dir called movies in the data folder will work?

1)just copy the files and paste on another CD=100% copy.
2)mount the .iso, always have them mounted for the videos etc.
#2 wins everytime..

Both fail for moderen games. I managed to tweak my F.E.A.R into working, but the patch stoped it ^^. You should be allowed to back up your games without being called a "pirate".

#2 fails when your harddrive crashes, so I would do #1 anyway, but use #2 normally.
|
How dumb can you be to buy a HDD that acually fails/crashes LOL?
(Not saying you specifically, but to anyone that, that does happen to).
|
All hard drives will fail at some point. How dumb do you have to be to not realize that? Oh, trooprm02 dumb.
