Btw the way XWIS used to run it, you modify hosts.conf so it would connect to XWIS without any extra modification. That's the best way to do it IMO.

Yes, but the server end is running a script/program that makes it possible, just like XWIS.

True, I misunderstood what he meant.

The WOL clone you're using has to be some form of a script/program.

I'm not in charge of the server, SyS is. I'm only the website manager...

It;s a program where you enter a IP address which connects to the servers, allowing you to join a lobby.

The program used to connect is not ours its XWISC, the old program that let you connect to XWIS before EA supported them. And if you type in the IP of our servers you can use the entire AWOS network, not just one lobby.

Oh, if you're not running it, that would explain things a bit.

Hello guys. I am here to say that AWOS does not support any game that uses the EA server, like Generals or Tiberium Wars. we only support these games:

Command & Conquer Tiberian Dawn
Command & Conquer Tiberian Sun
Command & Conquer Tiberian Sun Firestorm
Command & Conquer Red alert 1
Command & Conquer Red Alert 2
Command & Conquer Red Alert 2 Yuris Revenge
Command & Conquer Renegade
Emperor: Battle for dune
Nox quest
Dune 2000

and Westwood Chat

AWOS does not require a serial, so don't worry about us stealing your serial. Smile

*admin removed message promoting piracy of Westwood/EA games*

These forums don't reciceve money from EA do we? Nor did we sign any kind of xwis-type agreement with them to stop piracy did we? Did not think so. Why filter? I know the rules, no support for warez/w.e, but I was not promoting piracy. I was saying piracy keeps players playing, and stated a fact, which is since XWIS semi-recently turned on the serial checker, we have lost a large group of players, ever so suddenly Sad

I assumed nothing, prove me wrong? Tell Me

Personally, I'd love to think they give a dam about us/our sites/BHS/etc, but in reality...they don't. Huh

Soon is just a word. I'll believe it when I see it.
