What is changing your password going to do? It doesn't matter if you change it or not, your password would still be given out.

This reminds me of a similar MSN hack. I was talking to my friend, who lives in Canada. He goes to a French school and basically knows French as a second language (or first if English is his second)

Anyway, I'm talking to him and all of a sudden he replies a message that is all in French. And I'm sitting there going eh?

In the reply, there was a link.. however what I did first was I copied what he said and pasted it on a web translator. Turns out it said something really gay like "Click here to see me naked, but make sure you don't tell anyone else"

or something like that. Obviously, I didn't click the link and I said back to him "No" and I didn't get a reply for a good 10 min. All of a sudden he logs in, which was odd cause he was already logged in. He told me he got this MSN virus that kicks him off MSN and sends people crap like that. I told him the message that it sent me and he told me that it was the same message that got him infected.

You shouldn't of deleted the link, just make it so that people can't click on it. Like put a space in it or something.

No, most people are generally intelligent enough not to click a link like that. I got one myself yesterday a few minutes after logging into MSN, and simply ignored it.

You ignore them? I laugh at people who get infected with said virus.

for 10 minutes.

then offer help.

I barely knew the person, plus it's generally not the actual account owner logged on, they usually end up logging in later.

The last virus I got was from an image (.jpg, yes) I downloaded from xptek's server back when I barely knew him.

Anyone with basic computer knowledge should be able to protect him/herself and his/her computer from threats like this. If you happen to have the knowledge and minimal intelligence required to be on the Internet and still got a virus, I advise you log off now.
