They will donate 20 grains of rice for UN every time you get word right. Expanding your vocabulary while you do charity work! I'm at 3480 Grains right now.

Does that come with 20 drips of clean drinking water?

I honestly don't think it is worth the time and electricity to play that random game. The money lost while doing so, does not compensate for those few grains you just generated. Rice can be bought really, really cheap as far as I'm aware.

I did however just spawn 60 grains of rice, but the fact that I'm no native speaker of english makes the game annoying.

rough calculation

9,868,446,910 grains gathered in total
one grain weights 25 mg
246,711 kg gathered in total
35 cent per kg
86,350 euro/dollar

Crappy calculation, but it's better than what I expected. If they can somehow guarantee that the rice actually goes to where they say it goes, I might actually like this idea. My opinion changed.

I think he meant who's going to handcount the grains when they get ready to ship out the rice. I admit, he does have a point. Rocked Over

Most sites like this don't go:

"Wow they earned 4 223 992 pieces of rice. We better count out that exact amount!"

Think about it. The website was made to help feed people in 3rd world countries. You think they give a dam if they give out the perfect amount of rice? Of course not. They make money off the banner ads on the site and that money would go towards feeding people. It's no new concept.

Quite the idea though. The whole counting rice thing is just there to help keep people playing.

Why don't they just make a website that generates the same amount of money and simply use that money to give 10,000 grains or rice? What is with all this "oh play this game and you give starving people 20 grains of rice!"

I don't get it... How come they can't just cut out the middle man (you) and simply donate the rice from the money the website generates or what ever...

I honestly don't see how playing a game is going to feed other people..

Because being illiterate is good right? This game HELPS you in vocabulary, and helps feed hungry people, why the FUCK would you complain?

You're more likely to learn if you see the definition of the word. Nor does it say that you can't use a dictionary therefor it is not cheating. Furthermore, I'm sure they didn't care so much about learning words as they did trying to get a lot of rice.

Depends before trying, or after. If you tried and got it wrong, you should look it up the dictionary, but if you just look it up, you are cheating yourself.

You actually get it slower if you check every word. The difficulty of the words adjust to your level, so if you get all the hard words wrong, you go down levels. I currently got about 4000 grains in 15-20 minutes. People who search the words takes the same amount of time to get around 500.

Why don't you get a job, and use some of the money for yourself, and some of the money fo buy bags and bags of rice, then ship it to 3rd world countries?
