It really depends what your upgrading FROM. If you really want to keep the same motherboard it looks like a decent choice for the processor, but if your only going up .2 or .4 ghz it's not really worth the money.

Just add a gig of RAM, I wouldn't change the processor.

Agreed, no point unless you can go multi-core to a degree. You may want to consider saving for a new mobo etc, rather than buying a new processor.

(I would post you some spare RAM, but I don't have any.)

aww. In Love

I would go dual core, But eh.. FBS isn't so great, and it's mainly 512K L2 cache.

Save your money for awhile instead of pulling small upgrades and buy a throw down system. Otherwise, you'll just be on an out of date system constantly.

I'm lying to you, to be honest. I doubt my home server needs all 1.5 GB of RAM. If you really do want 512MB of RAM, PM me.

I can't tell if you're being serious, I'm buying a 1GB dual stick set soon, so 1.5GB o' ram! yeay!

So then you can have 1.5 too!

I might just buy a new mobo that supports AM2 or something higher, DDR2 and SATA-II and on-board audio.

You should just save your money and buy a new PC.

a pre-made made pc? nah.

buying a new mobo + processor + graphics card and HDD would be a lot cheaper.

To bad about the Phenom with this so called TLB bug.
It's fixed but performance drops...

Else that would have been a nice upgrade... Quadcore for everyone! In Love

If it's worth upgrading depends what else is in your system right now. If you have a good basis, good psu, airflow ecta. then it might be worth upgrading.
