I have a BFG-Tech 7800GS (Agp) card I cannot use anymore and I am selling it for $100.00USD + $8.50 S&H. (~70.00USD cheaper than Newegg's new EVGA model). If you're interested please send me an email to <dave@dcomproductions.net>

Sorry to post this kind of thing here, but I don't want it to go to waste and maybe someone would have a use for it.

There's an AGP port being used in my house right now. Granted, it's my little brother's PC. It has an ATI Radeon X1650 using it.

Can you post some of the card stats please? am gussing it supports shader model 3.0 and is only DX9 and not 10?
A good list of the games you could play with it, would also be most helpful, as am looking to upgrade my PC with a new card that can support games like Call of Duty 4, Crysis, UT4 and Bioshock.
Would you be willing to post to the UK too?
|
Being the 78 series and AGP, I don't think you'd beable to play Bioshock or crysis as they need a high 88 series card. With that being said the 7800 series card is still a good card, i'm using a 7900GS and it does the job.

Stupid SiS mainboard...and stupid Sprint Comouters. Well, 7800GS would run Crysis (lol, Crysis runs on my X1550 at low so...yea) my card is crappier than 7800, I can still run it :/

I was able to run pretty much anything I threw at it when I did use it; Supreme Commander on max settings was probably the last valid test I could speak for it.

In it's day, anything GeForce4 Ti was kick ass (MX, on the other hand, sucked). IIRC, there was no "real" Ti4800. There was just a Ti4200, Ti4400, and Ti4600. The Ti4800 was either the Ti4400 or Ti4600, just with AGP8x (The GeForce4 was originally an AGP4x card). It's lacking these days, of course.
Edit: To clarify, the GeForce4 numbering scheme was different than what is used these days, so a Ti4200 was not low end and a Ti4600 the high end. ANYTHING Ti was kick ass. The Ti was the high end, the MX was the low end. All of the Ti cards were all the same exact card and GPU, just with different core and memory speeds.

just wanted to point out that there are crossover motherboards out there that sacrifice the second pci-e slot for an agp slot. for example the 939 dual sata2 motherboard by asrock. you have an agp slot and a single pci-e (16x) slot in there. obviously you cant use them both at the same time, and no sli, but its a good upgrade motherboard if you have an amd processor and a good agp card that you dont feel like parting with just yet.
