I didn't "make up" these forums. EA shut Westwood down and asked for someone to take over. Several applied and I was chosen. Since then I have tried to maintain the essence of where we came from.
I tried to get an Internet Archive link to the old forums but it's not loading at the moment.
I'm the bawss.

I didn't mean disclude them. I meant most forums have that stuff at the left of the post, not the top. Here it goes post, avatar info, post, avatar info, and so on, and that cuts discussion flow somewhat. I'm used to it, but I prefer it the other way.

Crimson put a LOT of work into the current forum theme to duplicate the look and feel of the old Westwood forums. This forum has been our "home" for years now, not sure why you would be tired of looking at it or wanting something more "modern".
That being said, I believe in giving people what they want, as long as it doesn't adversely affect others or the default settings.
So, I have enabled the "default" theme, which can you now choose in your control panel, down towards the bottom. Note that the RenegadeForums theme is still the default for all users unless they specifically change it.
I may add more themes as well, when I get time, and if Crimson will allow it
