I believe I cease to exist and my mortal flesh becomes worm food, but my goal is to live forever. I also hope that there is reincarnation, but I also hope that in reincarnation, you do in fact come back as a human/equivalent being and not something intellectually lesser like a fish or a duck.

We can all hope that we come back in another life form, however, realistically its nonsense, illogical and would beat the purpose of death.

It's kind of funny how most of the posters are posting 'definite' responses, as if they are so sure they're right. Which one of you has died and returned to tell us what happened? It'd make you all a lot more rational if you said "I think" or "I believe" rather than giving definite responses.

Theres nothing to be indefinite about. When you die, you die. No two ways about it. I don't see any of my dead family members coming back to life and telling me how cool heaven was...

That's awful arrogant to think that there is a definite answer. Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. Just because they haven't come back doesn't mean that there's no alternate ending besides just perishing.

I can imagine I'll get laughed at for this, but what the hell (no pun intended Razz).

I've always believed that the universe will die and a new universe will be born. I don't know if they will be exactly the same. I'm sure everyone can remember their very first memories, well i think dieing is like being knocked out and as soon as you wake up you're living through your (different) first memories again.

"What do YOU want to happen after you die?"
The above.

Yeah, that is true, universe's are just like an human body with cells, they die and more are made, same with our life, when our bodys die, our life force or soul will be born in an new being.

I do agree with this my thoughts are close to that but not spot on but they are close enough to that and WOW haven't posted in this section for a while hehe

I can safely say that I don't know what's going to happen to me when i die, and i'm perfectly fine and happy with that.

It may be arrogant but its logical. The purpose of death is to no longer exist. You don't kill a chicken so it can come back to life as a frog. Gang members don't kill other gang members so they can goto heaven/hell or to be become another life form.

Death is apart of life, or am I missing something here?

Well as I said in one of my previous posts, I don't see any of my much loved dead family members coming back to life and telling me how death was. Have you had any visits from your dead family members? I thought not. If there was some kind of reincarnation one would assume that said person would contact a family some how?

Just think logically, when you die you seize to exist thats the point of death.

Why wouldn't you? You've just been granted another life. For something such as this to happen one would assume that if you can be granted life you'd also be granted memories from the past life.

If there are reincarnations, do you remember anything that has happened in your past lives?

How can you recall something from a past life if you're using a different brain, where all your memory is stored?

Then what would be the point of reincarnation if you can't remember it? If you can't remember your past life did you really get reincarnated? But still its illogical to think that you will become another life form and you'll live on when you're not meant to. Why is that so difficult for some people to understand? The purpose of life is to live and the purpose of death is to seize to exist.

I did not exist before I was born. Even after I was born, I did not realize it until a few years later as the brain developed.

Death is the end of that body and the start of the non-existance; a non-existance that cannot be experienced.

My 2 cents.

Please do tell me the purpose of death, one would assume that theres only one purpose which is to no longer exist. Why can't you understand that?

I don't act like I know everything, theres plenty that I have no understanding off. Im telling you how it is logically, if one was to be reincarnated it would beat the purpose of death, no?

I can understand what you're trying to say, but your argument is less plausible than the "LULZ EARTH IS FLAT" argument. You have absolutely no evidence whatsoever besides your "omgwow u dont understand, how many people have you seen come back from dead?/" I don't know the meaning of death and I don't claim to, I just think its a bit ridiculous to claim you DO know the meaning of death, and are basing your arguments on such a ridiculous claim.
