I have a VPS that i run a few servers on, namely IRCds and IRC bots but also 2 ren servers and a web-server.
I have access to everything i would as if it was a real dedicated server. It runs windows 2003.
My host is a bit picky on how much RAM+CPU i can use, but i feel the amount i pay for it they aren't letting me run enough. Just today i just had a big net-split because they closed an IRCd.
I've had a few viruses since i've had a computer and know that viruses don't tend to want to close (even with task manager). Is it possible to add an entry into the registry to stop a program from being closed? Make windows thing it's a critical process?
EDIT: this was the wrong forum

The proper name, I would say at least, is "SYSTEM" user access which is quite easy to get to if you know how.
