idk wat i did but now none of my avi and mpg videos will play on media player or winamp
says codec error
even after installing k-lite mega codec pack
anyhelp?

What are you trying to play? It would seem that you've installed so many codecs that you've really fucked it up. Its advisable to uninstall all the codec packs installed, install VLC and use the link I gave you. It has all the codecs you'll ever need.

If you goto start > All Programs > K-Lite; There should be a button to uninstall it. Could you define wont play please. Wont display a picture, sound, doesn't load at all, gives an error message etc..

Windows Media Player = Fail

Your not supposed to use that in the first place, use Media Player Classic and if that doesn't work then VLC always does the job.

You know....the two of 4 files I put in that rar.

I ment to edit that but the backup cycle caught it.

Try VLC, if it cant play it then you need to follow the Oblivion Creed.

Uninstall WMP, restart the computer, install WMP 10 (WMP 11 if you're using Vista).

You've probably overwritten a file while mass installing codec packs. Only install 1 codec pack. The CCCP (the link I gave you when I first replied to this thread) should be ALL the codecs you need.
