Most of you that have been on these forums for a long time knew me as 'deadfive' when I first started out on these forums, an extremely annoying, immature, and little dweeb that wouldn't leave you guys alone (heh..), but seriously, I just want to hand out a big thanks to those of you who had helped me in the past with all those pesky questions I had asked, over, and over, and over. I'm at the point where I have a small, but successful website, community forums, and the works, and I truly would not be here if you guys had not helped me back then. Whether the help was little or big, still, I owe you all a big thanks.

I miss SickOptometrist, he was a really awesome guy.. and doing some searching for some names to give a big thanks to brought up some of the good people that aren't here anymore. It really makes you think back, and makes you a little sad at the same time.

I have to agree with that. All the flaming, name calling, and constant bashing really did make me strive to cleanup my behavior at a very early age. It doesn't just have an influence on your 'online' behavior either. When you walk away from that keyboard you think of what has been said to you, and for me, I took it to heart and made a big change at a young age.

Well, I was not here back then but I can say that when I did come in here, I instantly noticed Dave Anderson as a mature forumer and though we don't know each other, I have a lot of respect for him.
And so I was a little sad a while back when he changed his siggy and replaced it with "Not viewing the forums anymore..."
I was sad much but now I am glad he is back.

The thing about Renegade forums is sometimes its just best to leave and take a break. When you feel the urge to flame someone, or put someone down, simply close your web browser. Eventually Renegade forums will cool down and you will find it a delectable place to post again. It seemed at the time there was a flood of tardism on the forums, so I simply quit reading them for awhile.

Not sure how much I flamed you, but you've matured more than me I think 
By the way, I do look at your website from time to time. Especially the VB.net portion of your forums. Very clean layout, I may begin posting from time to time if I ever stop having 18 credits to take per semester
EDIT: I can't believe you're the same age as my brother with your knowledge of coding. Impressive. You'll do well in CS/IS if that's the path you want to take in college.

The same thing has happened to me, however in reverse, through the use of the internets.
You see, I first started my journey on the internets will impeccable grammar and less-than-perfect spelling. However, through viewing other people on online Renegade and many internet forums, I began 2 talk lik this. Needless 2 say it didnt last very long.
So I then started applying grammar to what I typed. Soon after I upgraded from Dial-up to Cable, and Mozilla firefox. Firefox comes with a "Check as you type" spell checker, so now I am able to post things with a 99% spelling accuracy!
Well anyway, that is my life story on the internets and I hope you all enjoyed it. And it wasn't you people who helped me, so stop lookin' for thanks, ya bunch of moochers! PEACE!

I have to say you aren't the only one thats gone through a lot of change. I'm right there with you.
How olds this community now? Like 5 years? I'm 17 now. Thinking back it's embarrassing. Yet in the BF2 community I've seen people that are just like I used to be. I guess it's just how it all works...
