Hi All,

I am in the process of building a new renegade server and need a little help.

I don't know how I would go about getting a server nick.(eg a000001 within wol)

Obviously the higher on the list the better.

If someone could point me in the right direction I would be eternally grateful.

Umm...All the a00000ish are taken. ALL the highest ones are taken by Jelly...

Anyways, I wouldn't count on getting a a000 nick, just get a nick your clan members will remember.

Just register an nick like you do for a player name, soon you done, use it for an server.

If you have the latest scripts installed, the list will be arranged according to the number of players in the server and not the host name.
You can use WOLSpy to make the server appear both on XWIS and GaySpy.

nopol10=Nopol=nopol(GSA)

Brenbot (http://new.brenbot.com) includes a "gamepsy connector", so if you use brenbot, you can connect to both WOL and Gayspy.

a000000 are all taken for a good reason Razz. One very awful person tends to sell them for 50 euro a month, while he took it for free. I don't think you have any other chance to grab one.

This is an old game with some established clan/communities, maybe some of them could offer what you're looking for?

When I try to register with the westwood server registration site it says it is down for maintainence, has been down of years or does it just go down now and again?

OR is there an idiots guide to doing this?

Westwood is dead my man, just put your desired name into the Login Menu, add a 8 Letter password, and voila! Your account has been created while you logged in! You don't even need Email!

Contact me if you need some hostname. I have some hostnames which are not currently used. But it is not hostnames which are on first page of server list.
