This is very annoying, yesterday everything was fine, I had 150 average ping on Renegade, but when i wake up this morning and started up renegade, i could see a ping of +500 no matter in what server i played. I think it has something to do with the router, because I also have renegade on a other pc in this house, where I also had 500 ping. I tried restarting the modem but i didnt get any good results

It would be great if someone could help me with this, thanks

Is your irritating younger/older/stranger sibling nicking the family bandwith, or even worse, is your mum listening to streaming radio over the Wireless network...?

Seriously, is anyone else using the bandwith?

Have you installed a new firewall or similar?

Have you had your internet connection limited by your ISP? Did you change game-server?

If it's an unsecured wireless router, then someone could be stealing your connection. Otherwise, what Carrier said.

Hey thats what I do when my ISP screws about and breaks the exchange, lol.

On topic: Be sure to close all programs running they aren't needed, for example, limewire, utorrent, MSN etc...

No chance. Smile

My best guess would be that your phone company decided to scrimp on your local exchange and that it won't respond very well anymore. Not an awful lot you can do.

Kinda reminds me of TalkTalk, wouldn't you agree?

Actually, TalkTalk probably haven't made things worse for me, because my local exchange looks like the next good storm will knock it over into the local park, which would be a great shame, because they would;

A: Have to build a new (And therefore better Smile ) one

B: Close the park, which due to the crappy 'net connection, is the next best source of entertainment.
