ok to start off i have read a post on this subject but i dont know what they are talking about when they say TFD...My problem is:
each time i hit multiplayer it tells me that my Westwood internet is not compadable with my version or soemthing like that.i have downloaded Renegade 2 times and i have just downloaded the internet part..nothing is working for me and i have looked all over the web for help. i also installed RA2 to see if the internet thing would work, but no go..im pretty sure i have done all the patches, but please post anything to help

Ignore matix.
TFD = The First Decade. Do you have The First Decade version? If so, I think someone once posted that you should not install the first decade patches as they seem to break the WOL components from time to time.
You also talk about downloading. Did you download renegade (illegally)? If so, you simply won't be able to play online! Buy a copy, it should only cost you around 5-10 $.
If you have a normal copy of renegade ,then check the "install renegade in 9 steps" - sticky in the "renegade client"-subforum.
