Go to regedit
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE and delete the renguard instance.
Go to \WESTWOOD from there and delete the renegade instances in the registry.
Happened to me but this seemed to fix it.
Don't do anything if there is something doughtful about my post as the wrong registry deletion can render xp useless.

no. Thats if you edit the serial. If you delete the entries they get re-created when you install. If you uninstall properly the entries would be deleted anyway.
The reason you think that is many have tried putting their serial straight into the registry, but it is encoded first when you install it.
If you still think that will make XWIS scream ask me how i am still running renegade.
