.AVI Is a BAD Compression to use on a DVD, You're going to need to convert the .AVI into a good DVD compression file.

Presence is a curious thing, if you think you need to prove it... you probably never had it in the first place.

DVD to DVD is easy, dvd shrink 3.2 is good, it will format many duel layer discs into one single layer without any quality loss, and it is fast, I can copy a 2 hour movie on my PC in 15-20 minutes, I copied a few disney movies for my baby cousins because they like bambie and cinderella and such, and i've copied spiderman for myself as a backup incase i lost it or broke it (i scratch all my discs...) Not all duel layers will work because they like 8gig completely filled, if it's 5-6gig then it will because it doesnt have to do major compressing, but I like it alot.

Oh and you need Nero if you want to burn the disc right afterwards, otherwise, it saves the DVD files to your C:/"dvd name" folder then you could just use any dvd burning software and burn the files dvd shrink produced.

Sure. Cousins.

I will admit that Aladdin, and Beauty and the Beast both kick ass.

Nero samrt start 7.0 rocks, I use it to burn all my family videos or old movies my mother has on VHS (vcr connected to TV card)avi has 0 problems, only thing I have to say is time, if your burning 4 hours of media onto a DVD, you will wait nearly 3-4 hours for it to finish the job and burn, but heck, patient.

You can likely buy it at a BestBuy, or comparable store. They also sell it to you online, for around eighty bucks.

I got mine for free, it came with my DVD burner, I reccomend having 2 DVD drives in a PC, makes life easier when copying dvd to dvd, plus a dvd drive for 20-30 dollars will always come with burning software, I got nero smart start 6 with mine, but updated to 7, OTHERWISE, for dvd to dvd, just use dvd shrink and download the demo of nero, dvd shrink is free and works really good, better than the crap dvd x copy i used to use, it made me burn duel layer disc into single layers making a 2 dvd set 4-5 discs, with dvd shrink, a 2 dvd set is 2 dvd's, not 4-5. Very Happy

Well, the only thing I can think of is to Convert the avi files into mpeg4, then transfer those files to your dvd burning software, i'm not 100% sure, but let me get this straight

1. You said you got the avi files ripped from a dvd
2. Why not get the original dvd again and rip from dvd to dvd so then you have the menu, extras, and movie like the original disc has.
