I thought 3ds max already could export w3d, mine does without any modification.

3dsmax can't export to ww3d. It exports to shockwave 3d, not westwood 3d

You need 3dsmax7/8, 9 wont work right.

If it doesnt exist, we cant just make one, this is renegade modding forums, not 3dsmax plugin forums, just download the demo for 3dsmax 7, I have the program and I can export working w3d files without any plugins.
