DCOM98 error with installing [message #277941]

Hello,

I was trying to install CnC Renegade and the install keeps telling me that I have to update DCOM98, so I click yes and it starts updating.

But then I get an error: "A newer version of DCOM95 or DCOM98 had been installed. To overide, you must uninstall the current version first."

After that I get a RUNDLL error.

Then I get the question if I want to reboot my system so I can continue the installation. If I click YES, it reboots and start the exact same thing over again that I need to update my DCOM98. If I click NO then the installer just shuts down.

My OS is Windows XP sp2 and I run the installer with Win 95 compatability. (Else it just keeps asking me if I want to insert a CD)

I could really use some help here
