ok heres the deal i got this whole album on my pc but every song is named like this

1-(songname).mp3
2-(songname).mp3
3-(songname).mp3

the point is it takes to much time going to every single file (over 1000) and renaming every single file to have the artist name in front of the songs name.........is there a program to do this?

I actually wrote a program a few weeks ago that does exactly this. It reads the information from the ID3 tags and uses that to get the artist, album, title, etc.
It only works with mp3 & wma at this point, though.

I'll gladly send you it if you'd like, simply PM me your MSN/email and you'll have it asap. Rocked Over

Throw them in iTunes. It will read the ID3 tags on all the albuns and retrieve the information from the internet. However, not all songs have ID3 tags so some may not change at all.

Windows Media Player can let you Rename them when you're about to rip!

Presence is a curious thing, if you think you need to prove it... you probably never had it in the first place.
