When ever im playing renegade will just randomly shut off for no reason. it happens at least twice a round someone please help...

What are you doing just before it crashes?
Which operating system are you using?
What is your general hardware setup (Processor, memory amount and graphics card make/model)?
Using The custom client scripts by Jonwil (With help from others)?
Any error messages?

Renguard is a wonderful initiative

It just happens when im playing.
Xp Home Edition.
Don't know systems specs.
No custom scripts.
Just exits to Renguard no error.

Does the base of your Renguard window say "Unauthorized Renegade instance terminated"?

Nope, doesn't say anything on Renguard. Once when it happened on Islands it said Bad/Corrupt map detected, You have been kicked for cheating or something so I downloaded Islands again... I'm not sure if thats what this problem is though... although it never exited on islands...

It seems to only do it on certain maps... last time it did it was on City Flying

It's your scripts being outdated as opposed to the servers running the latest ones, thats what causes your game to crash to desktop. I just figured this out yesterday, oh BTW thanx to everyone for helping me with those, you should probly do the same for this guy! Big Grin

Ya i probably need the scripts... but my brother just installed the game and his doesn't do that... and I'm gonna have to reinstall, i hate installing with TFD.

When i try to update scripts it says Old File Does Not Exist with a new installation

Nvm had to install Renguard first, Thank you for the help everyone

Pfft, you don't need RenGuard to install anything. Also, that's the Core Patch which has scripts.
